Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must submit scholarship application at the same time as their application or prior to applying.
Applicants must be presently enrolled in a US College/University for
all scholarships except Find a Job scholarship.
Applicants must meet the requirements of the scholarship for which they are applying.

AmeriSpan
"Push It Forward" Scholarship grants ($500-$2,000) - Requirement: selected College Study Abroad semester programs.
AmeriSpan Budget Crisis Scholarship ($250) - Requirement: currently enrolled at a state or community college.
AmeriSpan Open Door Scholarship ($250-$500) - Requirements: (1) a 500 word max essay describing how
you believe a study abroad experience will enhance your academic and professional development. (2) a letter
from your financial aid advisor specifying the types of aid you currently receive and which (if any) of the aid you
will be able to apply towards your AmeriSpan Study Abroad program. This letter should explain the reason(s)
for your need, i.e. inability to apply institutional aid, state aid, etc.
AmeriSpan Match Scholarship ($500) - Requirement: Applicant must be the recipient of a non-AmeriSpan study abroad scholarship, such as the Boren, the Gilman or similar. Submit documentation of the scholarship
award.
AmeriSpan Find a Job Scholarship ($150-$500) - Requirement: (1) Applicant must have lost their job in the
last 12 months or graduated from college or grad school in the last 12 months and are unable to find a job in
the field of their choice. (2) a 300 word max essay describing your situation and how you believe the program
you have chosen will help you find a job.
AmeriSpan Affiliate Scholarship ($250-$500) - Requirement: Check with your study abroad office to determine if your institution is an AmeriSpan affiliate.
AmeriSpan Collegiate Scholarship ($250-$500) - Requirement: A faculty member from your college or
university needs to email us requesting the scholarship funds. Your college faculty then awards the funds
however they want. Basically, they call us or email us to inform us who to award the scholarships. There are no
contracts to sign.
AmeriSpan Special Scholarship (value varies) - Requirement: varies. From time to time AmeriSpan offers special scholarships.
