Great Travel Abroad Contest
How It All Works

Rules:

  1. You earn points for sharing, liking, posting subscribing, linking, commenting and blogging travel and study abroad stories, tips and advice.
  2. The more points you accumulate the more chances you will have in 2 random drawings where we will award dozens of prizes.  Each point is like a raffle ticket so if you have 5 points, you have 5 chances to win in each drawing.
  3. The first person to 300 points wins a Kindle and the first person to 576 points wins an Ipod Touch.
  4. You also can win discounts from AmeriSpan according to the following table:

How Do I Earn Points?
  1. Join the contest: earn 5 points when you join the contest.
  2. Get friends to join the contest: earn 1 point for each friend that joins the contest up to a maximum of 25 points/day (HINT: iif you know more than 20 people will join make sure to invite them over several days to make sure you get as many points as possible
  3. Tweets: earn 1 point for each tweet that contains AmeriSpanAbroad (our twitter account) or travel-contest.com the url of the contest. Maximum 5 points per day.
  4. Like our Facebook page: earn 5 points for liking our facebook page (AmerispanStudyAbroad). Please make sure to use the Like button.
  5. Facebook posts: earn 1 point four each Facebook post about traveling and/or studying abroad that lists travel-contest.com in the post. Maximum 3 points per day.
  6. Facebook comments: earn 1 point for posting comments using our Facebook comment widget. Maximum 3 points per day.
  7. Facebook Wall posts: earn 5 points for posting something about traveling or studying abroad on our Facebook wall. Maximum 10 points per day. Please note: you will need to complete a Request for Points form because our software doesn't automatically add points for this activity.
  8. Subscribe to our Youtube page: earn 10 points for subscribing to our youtube page
  9. Comment on Youtube Videos: earn 1 point for commenting on AmeriSpan Youtube Videos. Maximum 5 points per day.
  10. Video Response to a Youtube Video: earn 5 points when you post a video response to one of our videos. Maximum 10 points per day
  11. Upload videos to Youtube:
    • earn 5 points when you post a video about the contest. The posted video must contain the www.travel-contest.com to earn the points.
    • earn 10 points when you post a video about studying or traveling abroad and add a link to amerispan's youtube page with the annotations. Please note: you will need to complete a Request for Points form because our software doesn't automatically add points for this activity.
    • earn 25 points when you post a video of "Why Study Abroad with AmeriSpan" and the video contains www.amerispan.com
  12. Send Us a Video via Drop Box: earn 10-30 points when you send us a video about studying/traveling abroad OR "Why Study Abroad with AmeriSpan" via drop-box. Please note: the points are awarded manually and the amount of points awarded depends on the overall quality of the video.
  13. Send Us a Blog: earn 5-20 points when you send us a 125-300 word blog for AmeriSpan's blog.  The blog should be about studying or traveling abroad and include a photo. Please note: the points are awarded manually and the amount of points awarded depends on the overall quality of the video.
  14. Link or Social Bookmark an AmeriSpan page: earn 3 points when you add a link or social bookmark any page on www.amerispan.com or www.amerispan.net. Maximum 12 points per day. Please note: you will need to complete a Request for Points form because our software doesn't automatically add points for this activity.
  15. Donate to a Fundraiser: Earn 20 points when you make a donation to one of the participants in the AmeriSpan Fundraising program of at least $10. Please note: you will need to complete a Request for Points form because our software doesn't automatically add points for this activity.
  16. Join the Fundraising Program: Earn 15 points if you are already enrolled in an AmeriSpan program and join the AmeriSpan Fundraising program. Please note: you will need to complete a Request for Points form because our software doesn't automatically add points for this activity. No points will be awarded until we receive "Your Story"
