MAESTRO for Spanish teachers features
advanced Spanish classes at top language
institutions. Topics covered
include: methodology, teaching
culture, cultural and educational
activities and excursions. In
addition, you have the
opportunity to meet with both local and
U.S. Spanish teachers in Latin America
as well as teachers from all over Europe in
Spain. Discussions on general
aspects of culture as
well as the local culture in specific
will generate ideas for creative lesson
planning.
MAESTRO
programs are open to all Spanish teachers or
education majors with a intermediate or
higher level of Spanish. If your Spanish is
rusty, you should register for a week or two
of classes before the program start
date.

Alternative Program - Yucatan Spanish Institute
Our Yucatan Spanish
Institute held in Merida, Mexico focuses
on Mayan history, Latin American
literature, Mexican traditions and
legends. The program is for advanced or higher Spanish speakers and
includes weekend excursions, meetings
with writers and other activities.
