Studying Abroad in Puerto Rico is available in a variety of different forms.

Puerto Rico Overview

Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island located just east of the Dominican Republic. About the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined, the island is characterized by mountains, coastal plains, a rainforest, and pristine beaches. In addition to being rich in Taino Indian Culture and colonial history, Puerto Rico boasts one of the most stable economies in all of Latin America.

El Yunque – Tropical Rainforest and bird sanctuary with trails leading to various peaks.

El Rincon – The mountains run down to the sea. Popular location for surfing and snorkeling. Humpback whales can be seen in the winter.

Vieques and Culebra – Quiet, unspoiled offshore islands. Can easily get to Virgin Islands from here.

Bacardi Rum – Tour includes a free daquiri.

Cuevas de Camuy – One of Puerto Rico’s 2000 caves. This one has been set up with a swimming area, waterslide, and guided tours.
