The Ming Tombs – The mausoleum of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors after the Ming capital was shifted to Beijing. Located at the southern foot of Tianshou Mountain in Changping County, Beijing, the Ming tombs cover an area of about 120 km. Tiananmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) – Tiananmen was the front entrance of the Imperial City of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Tiananmen Square – Located in the center of Beijing with an area of some 400,000 square meters, Tiananmen Square is the largest square in the world today. The Summer Palace – Built in 1750, one of the biggest and most famous existing royal gardens in world. Well preserved, it is perhaps the best example of Chinese traditional art in garden building. The Great Wall – Originally built 2000 years ago by the Qing dynasty. Half Wonder of the World and half Kitschville, but to many Chinese it's just a wall. Most visitors climb The Wall at Badaling.
