We have evaluated all of our partner programs as to their attractiveness for more mature travelers or "seniors". For each program, we evaluated four areas including the language program, homestay, school setting and the location. A- - Comments: Afternoon activities, great language program, many college students in summer Merida, Mexico (click to go to program) A relaxed city that is larger than it feels. Lots of people have retired here both from outside of Mexico as well as Mexicans from other parts of Mexico. Lots of nearby Mayan Ruin sites and only as few hours by car to Cancun. Overall Rating... A- - Comments: April-July is hot, provides option to upgrade to private bathroom and air-conditioning, close to Mayan Ruins San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (click to go to program) No longer a secret, this charming colonial tow has long been discovered ex-pats who plan to retire, have already retired or at least own a vacation home.
