Transcripts

Upon completion of your semester abroad in London, an official Middlesex transcript will be sent directly to your home institution. Middlesex University is accredited by the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.

Study Program Overview

The Middlesex year is split into two semesters: Fall (September to December) and Spring (January to May). At Middlesex each course or unit is called a module. Typically each module carries 15 UK credits which is equivalent to 7.5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) or 3.75 US Semester credits, many colleges round this up to 4 because of the extra contact hours in classes. You will need 3-4 classes for a full load of classes for a term which totals 60 UK credits, 30 ECTS or 15-16 semester credits. Please speak with your home institution’s International Office as they have the final decision on how credits will transfer into your home universities system.

It is important to note that Middlesex University is divided into 3 campuses, each catering to specific majors and programs. Students can combine classes between the Cat Hill and Trent Park campuses but are advised not to take classes at the Hendon campus and another Middlesex campus. The travel distance between the Cat Hill or Trent Park Campuses to the Hendon Campus can take up to an hour via public transport. The 3 campuses combine modern teaching facilities with extensive learning resource centers including well-equipped computing, library and multimedia facilities. Depending on class selections, students will be based at one of the following campuses:

  • Trent Park: Performance Arts, Humanities, Education
  • Cat Hill: Art & Design
  • Hendon: Business, Computing, Science, Social Science, Healthcare
