Israel Teenager Study Abroad
Netanya Independent Teen
A country no bigger than the state of New Jersey, Israel offers cultural attractions comparable to Europe, the U.S. and Canada. Luxury hotels, glamorous spas and a lively restaurant scene add to a sophisticated atmosphere that combines ancient and exotic with contemporary and high-tech. Israel boasts an international Opera Company (The New Israeli Opera), four full-time symphony orchestras (including the Israel Philharmonic), as well as dozens of theater, dance, and contemporary music companies. History abounds in Israel and at times you'll find yourself walking in the exact places where the events of the Bible unfolded. Standing at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa, Israel covers a relatively small area measuring just 290 miles in length and 85 miles across at its widest point. Everywhere you turn, you'll see reminders of the world's three major religions - Islam, Judaism and Christianity.
Forming a connecting link between the northern and central parts of the country, Netanya is the largest city on the road between Tel-Aviv and Haifa. Located on the Mediterranean shore, its mild climate makes this city an attractive beach resort town (with approximately 10 miles of beaches), beautiful gardens, promenade malls and an all-around appeal for visitors. The city offers many activities free of charge year round, endless sports facilities, beautiful beaches, water sports, paragliding, horseback riding and an exciting nightlife. Agricultural villages, orchards and orange groves, open fields and authentic Israeli countryside surround Netanya and are only a short drive away.
School Facilities: The school is located in a residential area, south of Netanya center. The modern campus is perfectly situated overlooking the sea. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away. The school has a swimming pool (year round), modern gym, tennis & basketball courts and a children’s playground. They also have a cafeteria, beautiful gardens and an outdoor terrace. Internet services are included. Capacity is 150 students/day. Students stay in a dorm with all meals included. Homestay lodging is not available at this location.
