Don't forget: |
- Leave space in your bags for the things you will be buying to bring home
- Too pack some plastic bags for leaky toiletries or wet clothes
- Streets in many countries are not smooth or conducive to rolling suitcases that you cannot lift
- You'll be able to buy film, umbrellas, batteries, most toiletries, etc. after you arrive
- Rolling your clothes rather than folding clothes saves space
- Coordinate your clothes around one neutral color like black or khaki which will allow you to mix and match outfits
- Instead of a bulky coat, bring clothes that layer to save space
- All airlines have strict baggage weight restrictions for flights not originating or going to the USA (can be as low as of 20 kilos or 50 pounds) so anything over that, you’ll be paying extra, a lot extra!
- Many domestic, in-country flights have a maximum weight but don’t always offer the option of paying extra to get your bag on the flight. That means that you run the risk of not being able to check the bag on the plane and having to leave it behind.
